The fauna and flora are observable in the Andasibe National Park - Mantadia - Analamazaotra or Reserve Mananara Nord which are primary forests and marine parks. The Pangalanes, unbroken succession over 600 km of lakes, lagoons, canals and rivers are a green and lively river artery. South fascinates with its impressive natural beauty. Day 1 Arrival from international flight - Antananarivo - Antsirabe

You arrive at Ivato, the international airport of Antananarivo where the driver guide of Mada Hexagone assists you according to the formalities of entry and retrieval of your luggage.

You start your tour right after breakfast by 68 km of a good paved road that leads you to Ambatolampy, which deserves attention, first to visit a factory of pot, as this is that they are made. 

From Ambatolampy, you take the road lined with beautiful rice paddies and terraced fields for 100 miles until Antsirabe. Nicknamed "The Vichy Malgache", the city water you will find the stone-cutting and crafts of the region of Malagasy ethnicity Vakinankaratra: production of bicycles and rickshaws and mini processing zebu horn.
Your dinner is served at the hotel that you spend the night.

Day 2 Antsirabe - Fianarantsoa

Breakfast finished and the luggage in the car, now you visit the town of Antsirabe in rickshaw and discover the stone-cutting and Malagasy handicrafts of this region.

Finishing the ride, you go for 98 miles of good paved road to the capital Ambositra Crafts Malagasy.  Throughout the route you admire the tremendous work that was done to "make" this beautiful landscape of rice paddies and terraced fields.

In the afternoon, you take the winding road lined with rice terraces, rivers, mountains and cultures, to reach the capital of Betsileo ethnic group: Fianarantsoa whose name means "good learning".
You dine and sleep at the hotel.

Day 3 Fianarantsoa – Manakara

Today, you have to get up early not to miss the train FCE (Fianarantsoa East Coast) this morning. Your seats are in the first-class. You will appreciate the whistle of the locomotive diesel which makes its way out of town. You will cross fields about 150 miles, 1200m of vertical drop, 21 tunnels, 42 bridges, and 17 folk stations before arriving in Manakara.

Throughout the journey, at every stop, there are many traders  will offer their culinary specialty  samosas, fried bananas, boiled crayfish, fruit, etc. but you can taste all these specialties, with the advice of your guide.

In the station of Manakara your driver guide will wait you and will take you too to the hotel, bordering the Indian Ocean. You'll have your dinner and sleep in the same place.

Day4 Manakara - Ranomafana

Pangalanes channel parallel to the Indian Ocean, ranging from Tamatave to Farafangana and Manakara is on the way so you will do a boat ride on a portion of the channel. During this ride you will enjoy the landscape of the East Coast. Lunch will be a picnic and the boatman guide knows the proper place where you can stop to take it.

In the afternoon, barely 200 km of good road with beautiful scenery to reach the Ranomafana National Park. You will arrive at your hotel located in the center of the village of Ranomafana.

Day 5 Ranomafana - Fianarantsoa

This morning you will visit the park and discover the endemic flora, its lemurs and hot spring which the town derives its name from Ranomafana.
In the afternoon, you resume the road for 65km to Fianarantsoa.
In Fianarantsoa, you stay and dine at the hotel located in the city center.

Day 6 Fianarantsoa – Ambalavao - Ranohira

You took the time to enjoy a good breakfast. Now it is time to start your descent to the south for 58 km until the small town of Ambalavao, where you can make a stop for a moment, moment to admire the Antemoro paper and discover its manufacturing know-how inherited from the Arabs.
Then, some ten kilometers further south, you will visit the Anja Park Village. Here, we stop for a 2-hours guided walk. This rocky park is the best place to see the troops of ring tail lemurs in their natural environment. These animals, although wild, are easy to spot and so friendly. In the afternoon, the descent continues for some 225 km, appears gradually savanna, majestic rock domes require their presence, only nomadic herders’ zebu across the land plateau Horombe with their huge herds.
The massif of Isalo ruiniform starts to be visible: you arrived at Ranohira.
You will sit comfortably in your bungalow before appreciating the cooking for your dinner.

Day 7 Ranohira - National Park of Isalo – Tuléar - Ifaty

You're up bright and early this morning; a great and beautiful day waits. 17 km of track to reach the Canyon maki where you have the chance to observe Verreaux's sifaka, lemurs lemurs, brown lemurs scattered in the surrounding vegetation and your local guide makes it a pleasure for you to uncover.

Then, you return to the car for 20 miles to get to the Natural pool featuring a waterfall and beautifully lined with pandanus. Don’t forget your swimsuit at the bungalow, swimming is allowed and the water is very good.

After this visit, the car will carry you quietly for the 243 km still to go before reaching the south coast, and it connects well underway the endless straight lines of the plateau Horombe.
The crossing of the small "boom town" of Ilakaka, you will understand by signs that can be seen on a large majority of the buildings, this area was an important center of mining sapphire today declining.

Baobab trees and aloes: a new growth appears. Mahafaly tombs are remarkable: they are the only solid structures in the south.

After a few hours by car, passing Andatabo: a mountain-shaped table, there are only 15 km to be in Tulear.
Arriving in Tulear, your driver guide will take you by car to visit the city in general. Visit finished, you will have 26 km of track to reach the seaside resort of Ifaty and settle in the cozy bungalow hotel where you will take your dinner.

Day 8 Ifaty

Today you are free to enjoy the lagoon, clear water and warm sand as white. However, it will provide to do a tour of baobab forest.  The afternoon is also a free day where you can enjoy on other activities: sailing in outrigger canoe with fishermen Vezo, snorkeling, swimming, etc...

Day 9 Ifaty

It's always a day entirely free. Enjoy the calm and the beach at the hotel.
So, here, you choose and enjoy also the seafood of the region.

Day 10 Ifaty – Tuléar - Antananarivo

Today, the car drops you off at the airport of Tuléar for the return flight to Antananarivo. Also, the last time you see your driver guide. He will have two days to go back to Antananarivo with the car. Remember to take still a sweater ...the temperature isn’t same at Tulear and Antananarivo.
Another Mada Hexagone’s driver guide will meet you at the airport in Antananarivo. It takes you back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 11 Tour of Antananarivo - Departure for international flight

After breakfast, the car brings you to the upper town to visit the ancient city of Antananarivo.  You will see a photograph of the city on a beautiful and magnificent view.  Ending this discovery, you keep the car ride to see the higher; middle and lower city.  After this visit, your driver guide takes you in the car to go to the World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001: the "Blue Hill" where there is a royal palace.
In the afternoon, you will be driven to the big traditional market because it is possible that you'll want to bring back some memories of Madagascar. You will find all gathered Malagasy crafts.
By late evening, you'll have plenty of time to prepare your luggage at the hotel where you will welcome you in day use.
You will have a moment to be comfortable, to take bath etc for your   journey home.  You'll also take your dinner before your transfer to the airport by the Mada Hexagone’s driver guide who will assist you until your registration is completed.
